This book tells you the story from the viewpoint of Bheema and narrated in a astounding manner.(why am I getting words like astound, expound, confound today?)
I strongly advocate you to go through this book when you get a chance. You may say that the stories are all known to you. But the truth is completely different. I will give two important details one that I shocks you , the other is a question for you to find out on your own.
When the virtues of Drowpadhi as a lady is questioned in the court after the fiasco in the gambling, we all heard that Lord Krishna supplied incessantly and abundantly so that the man who tried to disrespect her became tired and gave up. But the truth is no such incident happened. It is not mentioned so in the original work. These stories are added by the interluders (that is the people who add the interludes to the main story just because there are places of silence.)
We also hear stories about Bheema who fought vehemently against the Lord Kuberan and his forces when the former tried to take flower that was coveted by his consort. That is also not true.
