Lot of my friends want me to write more about Enlightenment to have a better picture.
Though I still cannot give or explain Enlightenment, nobody for that matter, I will try to give an example which might throw more light upon the Situations based on which Enlightenment do happen.
Imagine a piano being played by five monkeys at once. Wow! we don't call that as music.It is called as noise. The five monkeys are touch,taste,ear, eye,nose.The mind is the piano.With all the five inputs and being dragged as per the whims and fancies of the senses, the mind is not stable at all.It just whines, loosing all its abilities.Couldn't accomplish even a simple task.
In the second scenario imagine the piano being played by a professional producing soothing melody with good harmony.
This we call as music.It is like different notes being played so as to produce a tune.This our mind can very well do.It can think about a particular subject and the things related with it.That is the mind can play with different thoughts but still they are in a way connected.If you are at this point of level normally you can run your life gracefully without much problems.
In the olden days , before starting the broadcast, radio stations used to give out a single tone for a long time.This is the third stage for our consideration.There is only one tone. Likewise the mind can hold on to a single thought.At this stage you normally become a winner in life.All the people who have achieved something in this world did this , because they were in such a state of mind when they did the wonderful thing. People will normally be very creative and innovative and break the rules at this point of time.If somebody told us we could produce colors without paint a few decades ago , we might have laughed at those people.But today, a TV does not need paint to create colorful images. These are the people normally we call as genius or brilliant people.
But even that stage is not enlightenment.
Let us move on to the fourth stage.The stage in which there is no sound at all. None , whatsoever. Let us call this as primordial silence.All the sounds that are produced do have this as the foundation.Like a stage, on which a drama goes on.Sometimes we call this as sound of silence.Similarly, the mind goes without any thought at all.A complete blankness with nothing to operate on.This is the seed of Enlightenment from which you realise Yourself.Or the experience that happens to you at this state of mind is verbally called as Enlightenment.
